The StanCOG Regional Bicyclist and Pedestrian Safety and Education Campaign will include a marketing component that targets roadway users to mitigate unsafe behaviors and positively alter perceptions about active transportation methods. Other components of the campaign include:

A regional safety summit to bring local, regional, state, and federal transportation safety experts together to share best safety practices;
A series of open street events that demonstrate active transportation infrastructure in a real-world setting and provide resources about healthy lifestyles;
The development of a regional Planning and implementation toolkits specific to local jurisdictions that improve detail methods to improve active transportation safety.
